The Caterpillar | Private Healing Immersion by The Cocoon

The Caterpillar is a 3-night private healing retreat hosted in the home of Tye and Tori Adekoya, secluded and close to Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. One guest only. Both facilitators present throughout. The retreat moves through cacao ceremony, trauma release, sound healing, an evening fire, hot springs, Reiki, and a closing ritual. $1,333 all-inclusive.

The Caterpillar is the private entry point into The Cocoon ecosystem. It is a complete healing experience on its own and a natural threshold for those who later enter The Butterfly, The Moth, or The Kaleidoscope.

What This Is

Some things don't need a group. They need three days, a quiet house near the lake, and two people who know how to hold what you bring.

The Caterpillar is not a spa weekend. It is not a wellness experience designed to make you feel good for a few days and leave everything underneath untouched. It is a private healing container built around you, your nervous system, your story, and what is actually ready to move.

You stay in our home. You are the only guest. Tye and Tori are both with you the entire time, not passing you between sessions but holding one continuous field of care across three days. The work is responsive, not scripted. We follow what is present in you, not a curriculum you have to fit yourself into.

The Three Days

An arc, not an itinerary.

Each day is built on the one before it. Nothing is random. The sequence carries you from arrival through depth through integration. You leave on Monday morning different from how you arrived Friday evening.

Friday Arrival
& Opening
You arrive. We eat. Then we begin.

You come in Friday and we give you time to land. No pressure. No immediate session. There is food waiting and space to breathe and feel where you are. Later that evening, we sit together for the cacao ceremony. Not a production. Just the three of us, the plant, and an honest opening. You name what brought you here. We listen. The container opens.

Welcome & Arrival Cacao Ceremony Intention Setting
Saturday The Core
Work
This is where we go in.

Morning: Trauma release. This is the heart of the container. We are not moving fast and we are not moving around anything. What has been stored in the body, what the mind has already named but the nervous system hasn't released yet, this is where that begins to move.

Afternoon: Sound healing to move what the morning opened. Frequency works where language cannot. The body receives what the session started.

Evening: We light a fire. No script. No ceremony to perform. Just fire, presence, and whatever the day brought up sitting beside you in the open air. Some people talk. Some people are quiet. The fire holds both.

Trauma Release Sound Healing Evening Fire
Sunday Water &
Return
Integration is not passive. It is held.

Morning: Hot springs. We are in the water with you. This is not a tourist excursion and it is not a reward. It is mineral water and volcanic earth completing what the fire opened the night before. We are there the entire time. What shifted on Saturday continues to settle here.

Afternoon: One Reiki session back at the house to regulate the nervous system and ground what moved across the weekend. Then the closing ritual. An intentional seal. You name what you are taking home and what you are leaving behind. We bear witness to both.

Monday morning you leave. Not announced. Different.

Everything Held

What is included.

The $1,333 flat rate covers everything below. There is nothing hidden and nothing added on later. You arrive and you are held. That is the whole point.

🏡 Private Room in Our Home

🍽 All Meals

Nourishing meals prepared with care throughout your stay. No logistics for you to manage while your system is doing real work.

🍫 Cacao Ceremony

Friday evening. An honest opening with the three of us. Not a performance. A threshold.

🌀 Trauma Release Session

The core of the container. Somatic and hypnotherapy-informed work designed to move what is ready to move.

🔊 Sound Healing

After the trauma release work. Frequency moves through the body where language cannot always follow.

🔥 Evening Fire

No ceremony. No script. Just fire, presence, and space for what the day opened to breathe and settle.

💧 Hot Springs

We are in the water with you. Volcanic mineral waters, integration, and the two people who walked through Saturday with you. Not an excursion. Part of the work.

Reiki Session

Sunday afternoon. Nervous system regulation and grounding after the depth of the weekend. The body settles into what shifted.

Closing Ritual

An intentional seal before you return home. You name what moves with you and what you leave behind. We witness both.

Where You’ll Be

Our home. Secluded.
Close to Lake Atitlán.

You are not staying at a retreat center or a rented villa. You are staying in our home. The place where we live, cook, raise our kids, and do our own work. That is not a limitation. It is the medicine.

The house is secluded and close to Lake Atitlán in the highlands of Guatemala. Not in the middle of the tourist circuit. Not near the noise. Quiet enough that the land can actually reach you. The volcanoes are on the horizon. The air is different here.

What we want you to know before you book is that there is no catfishing. This is our real home and it is beautiful in the way that real, lived-in places are beautiful. If you want a polished resort experience, this is not that and we are not pretending it is. If you want to be held by two people in a space that actually belongs to them, where the care is not performative and the container is real, this is exactly that.

Who This Is For

This is a fit if this feels familiar.

A strong fit
  • You have done healing work before but something still feels lodged or unfinished
  • You are in a life transition, a grief process, a major recalibration, or a threshold you cannot name yet but can feel
  • You want to be held, not managed. Seen, not processed
  • You want high-touch, private support without the pacing or exposure of a group container
  • You are curious about The Butterfly, The Moth, or The Kaleidoscope but want to experience the work privately first
  • You want two healers who are actually in it with you, including in the water at the hot springs
Not the right fit
  • You are looking for a passive escape where nothing is asked of you
  • You want to stay in your head and avoid what is actually here
  • You need clinical or crisis-level support, which should come before a retreat container
  • You want a luxury wellness experience designed to look healing rather than be healing

If you are not sure whether this is right for you, book a Clarity Call. That is what it is for.

The Ecosystem

Where The Caterpillar leads.

Many guests move through The Caterpillar first and later enter one of the larger Cocoon retreats. The private immersion is complete on its own. It is also the most natural first room for someone who wants to know what the work feels like before stepping into a group container.

The Caterpillar is the private threshold. What comes next is yours to decide.

The Work Speaks

What shifts when the container is real.

"The healing I experienced, physiological, psychological, and spiritual, was immediate, profound, and lasting. Four months later, the shifts remain just as strong. I know they are permanent."
K. Bolin · Retreat Graduate
"Tye has a rare ability to channel something profound. His approach is both grounded and deeply thoughtful. He knows how to reach right where it is needed. I literally got goosebumps."

What people usually ask first.

In our home. Not a retreat center or a rented villa. Our actual home, secluded and close to Lake Atitlán in the Guatemalan highlands. You are the only guest in the space. It is quiet, private, and chosen specifically because real work can happen here.
Fly into La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City. Private transfer to Lake Atitlán is included in your investment. Once you book, we send detailed arrival guidance so you are not piecing the logistics together alone. Plan to arrive in Guatemala City on Friday.
Because we think it matters. Tori and Tye each bring different things to the work and together they hold something neither one holds alone. You are not being passed between sessions or practitioners. What you get is one continuous field of care, two people paying attention to the same person across three days. That is different from what most private retreats offer and it is why we designed it this way.
Yes. The Caterpillar is the private threshold into The Cocoon ecosystem. It is a complete experience on its own. It is also the most natural first step for someone who wants to feel what the work is like before joining a group container like The Butterfly, The Moth, or The Kaleidoscope. Many guests move through The Caterpillar first.
No. The Caterpillar is a ceremonial, somatic, and spiritual healing container. It is not a clinical therapy program or a substitute for mental health care. If you are in active crisis or need clinical-level support, please access that care first. If you are unsure whether this is the right step, book a Clarity Call and we will be honest with you about it.
Bring it up on the Clarity Call. A five-day immersion is available for guests who want more spaciousness, more layers, and a longer arc of integration. We can talk through whether that is what your situation calls for. The three-day container is complete as it is. The five-day version goes deeper.
Begin Here

If something brought you here,
that is enough to start the conversation.

We host a small number of private immersions each month. The Clarity Call is an honest conversation about whether this container is right for you. No pressure. No pitch. Just two people who will tell you the truth.

We respond personally within one to two business days.
