General Questions
Is The Cocoon right for me if I’m new to retreats, Reiki, or ceremony?
Yes. We’ve designed The Cocoon for beginners and seasoned seekers alike. We teach foundations (Reiki self‑practice, consent‑based circle etiquette, simple breath/somatic tools) and explain every ceremony beforehand. You choose your pace—observe, participate gently, or go deeper when it’s right for your nervous system.
Who is this retreat for—and not for? (women‑only, trauma‑sensitive)
For: women ready for a gentle, trauma‑sensitive container, open to nature, reflection, and practical healing skills you can take home.
Not for: party vibes, luxury‑resort expectations, or those who are trying to bypass their healing process by avoiding internalized emotions We move with compassion, respect, consent, and personal choice at the center.
What outcomes should guests expect by the end of the week?
Guests often report feeling lighter, clearer, and more regulated. You’ll leave with a Self‑Reiki routine, grounding breathwork, and micro‑practices for stress. Many notice better sleep, softer self‑talk, and a sense of sisterhood. Plus a simple but effective integration plan for the weeks after.
How big is the group and who are the facilitators? (credentials, vibe)
We keep it intimate so everyone is seen and supported (target 10–14 guests; capped at [final cap]). Your lead facilitator is Victoria (Reiki Master, trauma‑informed practitioner, Akashic Records guide). You’ll also be supported by Tye (sound healer/somatics, filmmaker, ceremony design) and our on‑island team. The vibe: grounded, kind, and consent‑first.
What’s the daily rhythm—how much free time vs. guided sessions?
A gentle flow with built‑in spaciousness. Mornings: movement/somatic practice + breakfast → late‑morning workshop. Midday: lunch + rest/integration + optional 1:1s. Afternoons: elemental practice or nature excursion. Evenings: dinner + sound bath or circle. Expect 3–5 hours of guided time daily with ample open windows for rest.
Are all activities optional? How do you honor consent and pacing?
Yes—choice is sacred. Every activity is opt‑in, with clear previews and alternatives. We use simple check‑ins, color‑coded intensity cues (gentle/moderate/deeper), and pacing breaks. You can pause, step out, or rejoin anytime without explanation or pressure.
What makes The Cocoon different from other spiritual retreats?
We’re trauma‑informed and consent‑based by design and not a hype‑driven or push‑through week. Small group size, elemental day themes, and integration support mean you leave with tools, not just memories. We partner with trusted locals, keep logistics transparent, and prioritize nervous‑system safety over novelty.
How do I save my spot and what happens after I reserve? (next steps)
Choose Shared ($1,777) or Private ($2,222) and place your $555 Sacred Reservation deposit (non‑refundable; applied to balance). You’ll get a confirmation email with a Welcome Packet, Travel Guide, intake form, and payment plan link. We’ll invite you to a private WhatsApp thread closer to departure and remind you to purchase travel insurance (best within 14 days of deposit).
Can I talk to someone before booking?
Absolutely. Book a 15‑minute fit call to ask anything—vibe, logistics, safety, or money questions—zero pressure. Pick a time that suits your time zone and we’ll meet you with honesty and care.

Booking & Pricing
What are the tuition options?
Two simple options, both all‑inclusive of programming: Shared lodging $1,777 or Private lodging $2,222 (USD). Choose what supports your nervous system and budget; the retreat experience is the same either way. Prices are per person and do not include airfare or travel insurance.
What’s included vs. not included in my tuition?
Included: Akashic Record upon booking prior to the retreat, 7 nights lodging on Ometepe, elemental‑themed workshops, 3 nourishing meals, Wi-fi, ground travel from Managua Airport, ceremonies (cacao, sound bath, fire, volcano ritual; optional Hapé/Guifiti), select nature excursions, on‑island group transport for included activities, staggered Reiki/Massage sessions, integration circle(s), and a post‑retreat virtual call. Not included: International flights, visas/entry or border fees, personal shopping, additional spa services, tips, and travel insurance.
Do you have flexible payment options?
Yes. Beyond pay‑in‑full, we offer flexible schedules: (1) our standard monthly plan split evenly from your deposit date through September 20, 2025; (2) custom cadences (bi‑weekly or 2–3 milestone payments) when possible—email us and we’ll set it up; (3) pay‑over‑time providers (Affirm/Klarna/Afterpay) where available. You can switch from a plan to pay‑in‑full anytime without penalty.
What if I do not want to opt-in on a flexible payment option, but I still want to attend?
That’s absolutely fine. You can pay in full at checkout, or reserve with the $555 deposit and pay your remaining balance by September 20, 2025. We accept major cards only. No financing is required; pricing is the same either way.
How does the $555 Sacred Reservation Plan deposit work?
Your $555 deposit secures your spot immediately, but you will not be able to schedule the Akashic record reading until after you pay in full. It is non‑refundable and applied to your balance. You’ll receive a confirmation with your Welcome Packet, Travel Guide, and either a pay‑in‑full link or monthly plan setup.
When are payments due and what happens if I’m late?
Just let us know in advance and we can work with you. We want as little strain as possible. So if you are transparent with us, it will give us more to work with.
Do you offer scholarships? How do I apply?
Contact us at transform@thecocoonhealingretreat.com
Can I switch from shared to private later if availability opens?
If a private room opens, yes you can upgrade by paying the difference. Availability isn’t guaranteed, so if private space is important, we recommend booking it upfront. Downgrades from private to shared depend on waitlist demand.
Are processing fees or currency conversions refundable?
All prices are in USD. Card processing fees, bank/FX fees, and currency conversions are set by payment processors/banks and are not refundable by us.
Can I transfer my reservation to someone else?
Yes! Up to 14 days before the retreat start you can transfer your spot to another qualified participant for a $75 transfer fee. The recipient must complete all intake forms and agree to policies. If you used third‑party financing, additional steps may be required by the provider. We will also need to schedule a call with whom you are switching the reservation to ensure we are a good fit for them.
Travel & Arrival
Which airport is best? Managua (MGA) or Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR)?
We encourage you to take MGA is the most direct route into Nicaragua and usually the smoothest for arrivals. LIR also works if you’re coming via Costa Rica; it includes a land border crossing at Peñas Blancas, a shuttle to San Jorge Port, then a ferry to Ometepe. We coordinate group shuttles from Managua for common arrival windows.
Do US citizens need a visa for Nicaragua? How does the tourist card work?
Most US travelers receive a tourist card/visa on arrival; requirements can change. Plan for a small entry fee and bring your passport (we recommend 6+ months validity beyond travel dates). Always verify current entry rules with your government’s site and airline before you fly.
How long does my passport need to be valid?
We recommend 6 months beyond your entry date to avoid issues with airlines or border agents. Make a photocopy and keep a digital backup, too.
Will I be asked for proof of onward travel when I enter Nicaragua (or Costa Rica)?
It’s sometimes requested by airlines or at the border. Bring a printed or digital onward itinerary (refundable ticket or bus booking) just in case. If you need help sorting this, email us and we’ll share simple options.
Is there a US travel ban or advisory affecting Nicaragua right now? What does that mean for guests?
Advisories can change. We encourage you to check the latest guidance from your government and your airline prior to booking and travel. We monitor local conditions and will communicate promptly if anything affects retreat operations; travel insurance is required for everyone.
Do you coordinate airport pickup, the San Jorge ferry, and transport on Ometepe?
Yes. We organize group shuttles timed to common arrivals and the ferry to Ometepe from Managua (MGA), then on‑island transport to the venue. If your flight is outside group windows, we can arrange a private transfer (added cost) or help you plan a safe DIY route.
What if my flight is delayed and I miss the group shuttle or ferry?
Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll help you re‑route to the next available transfer. Private transfers can be arranged if needed (guest expense). If you miss the opening circle, we’ll welcome you at the next session and get you oriented.
Can I enter via Costa Rica for a quick border run? What documents do I need?
Yes! Many travelers do. Bring your passport, onward travel proof, and cash for any exit/entry fees. Requirements vary, so confirm with your airline/border guidance before you go.
Is it safe for a solo woman to travel to the retreat? What precautions do you recommend?
We prioritize safety: vetted drivers, group transfers when possible, and clear arrival instructions. General tips: arrive during daylight if you can, keep valuables minimal and close, and use WhatsApp to stay in touch. We’ll share the Welcome Packet with step‑by‑step directions after you reserve.
Should I bring USD cash? Are there ATMs on Ometepe? What about cards?
Bring some USD cash in small bills; ATMs and card acceptance can be limited on the island. Keep a mix of card + cash, and store emergency funds separately.
Can I use my US phone plan and WhatsApp in Nicaragua?
WhatsApp is widely used. Many US carriers offer international day passes; you can also use an eSIM or local SIM depending on your device. We’ll share options in the Welcome Packet.
What’s the luggage sweet spot?
Pack light: a carry‑on + daypack is ideal, with quick‑dry layers and a small rain shell. If you’re bringing instruments for sound or ceremony, let us know in advance so we can advise on transport.

Yes. We keep spaces low‑scent and can seat you away from speakers or high‑stim areas. Tell us your needs on the intake form and we’ll make thoughtful adjustments.
