Satori and Tyrone Adekoya have spent years doing the real thing, not just studying healing, but living inside the reckoning that healing requires. Together they built Simply Reiki Houston into a trusted energy healing practice, held hundreds of one-on-one sessions, and watched something become clear: the work people needed most couldn't happen in an hour.
The Cocoon was born from that clarity. A longer container. A more intentional space. A retreat where the nervous system has time to actually settle, where the patterns underneath the patterns have room to show themselves, and where transformation is the only agenda.
They chose Lake Atitlán, Guatemala not as a location but as a partner. Sacred Maya land, ringed by volcanoes, alive with a presence that meets the work halfway. They moved here. They are raising their sons here. The Cocoon is not a business they run from a distance. It is the life they are living.

Satori Adekoya has been in the business of seeing people clearly for over a decade. Not just their presenting wounds, but the deeper architecture underneath, the beliefs formed before language, the contracts made in childhood, the grief that never had a name. Her work is precise, intuitive, and unhurried.
She founded Simply Reiki Houston in 2012 with a vision to bring powerful energy healing into a space that was safe, ethical, and trauma-informed. What she built over ten-plus years was a community of people who found their way back to themselves through her hands.
At The Cocoon, Satori leads Akashic Records healing, hypnotherapy, somatic energy work, and ancestral pattern clearing. Guests often describe the experience of working with her as feeling seen for the first time, not in a way that's overwhelming, but in a way that finally makes sense.

Tyrone Adekoya came to healing through his own unraveling. A near-death experience at eleven opened something that years of searching couldn't close. He moved through depression, displacement, and spiritual inquiry until he found the thing that had always been present underneath: sound as medicine, ceremony as structure, and presence as the most powerful healing tool there is.
His studies in meditation, Vedic science, and consciousness at Maharishi International University gave language to what he had already learned through experience. He changed his name to Adekoya as an act of spiritual reclamation, honoring his West African lineage and the ancestors whose work he carries forward.
At The Cocoon, Tyrone leads sound healing, ceremony design, somatic facilitation, and inner child work. Guests describe his sessions as feeling transported, as though the sound moves what the mind couldn't reach.
