Terms & Conditions
By registering for, paying a deposit toward, or attending any retreat, immersion, or program offered by The Cocoon Healing Retreat ("The Cocoon," "we," "us"), you agree to the terms set forth on this page. Please read carefully before completing your reservation.
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in all offerings facilitated by The Cocoon Healing Retreat, including group retreats, Private Immersions, virtual sessions, and any supplemental programming. These terms apply regardless of how your booking was initiated, including via the website, email, phone, or referral.
2. Eligibility
To participate in a Cocoon retreat or immersion, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Complete all required intake forms honestly and in full before your arrival date
- Disclose any physical or mental health conditions, medications, or contraindications that may affect your safe participation
- Acknowledge that participation involves somatic, emotional, and ceremonial work and that prior experience with inner work, while not required, is recommended
The Cocoon reserves the right to decline or discontinue participation for any attendee whose presence poses a risk to themselves or others, or who has provided inaccurate health information during intake.
3. Booking and Payment
Reservations are secured through a non-refundable deposit, with the remaining balance due no later than 14 days before the retreat start date. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. By submitting payment, you authorize The Cocoon to charge the amount agreed upon at the time of booking.
If your remaining balance is not received by the due date, your spot may be released and your deposit forfeited without further notice. Payment plans may be available upon request and are subject to written agreement.
4. Conduct and Community Standards
The Cocoon holds a sacred container. All participants are expected to:
- Treat all facilitators, staff, and fellow participants with respect, dignity, and care
- Refrain from recording others without explicit consent
- Maintain confidentiality regarding other participants' personal disclosures within the retreat space
- Avoid bringing or using unauthorized substances on-site
- Follow facilitator instructions regarding safety, boundaries, and ceremony protocols
Violation of community standards may result in immediate removal from the retreat without refund.
5. Intellectual Property
All content shared by The Cocoon during retreats, including frameworks, materials, sound compositions, and facilitation practices, is the intellectual property of The Cocoon Healing Retreat and its facilitators. Participants may not reproduce, record, distribute, or commercialize any proprietary content without written permission.
6. Modifications and Cancellations by The Cocoon
The Cocoon reserves the right to modify retreat programming, facilitators, or logistics in response to circumstances beyond our control, including weather, illness, or force majeure events. In the event of a full retreat cancellation initiated by The Cocoon, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future date.
7. Third-Party Services
Some retreat components, including accommodations, transportation, and catering, may be provided by third-party partners. The Cocoon is not responsible for the independent actions or omissions of third-party service providers.
8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith communication between the participant and The Cocoon. If resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes will be subject to the laws of the Republic of Guatemala.
9. Agreement
By completing your registration and deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full. These terms operate alongside The Cocoon's Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy, and Liability Waiver, all of which form part of your complete agreement with us.
